Pratama Arhan Has Joined Tokyo Verdy's Training, Will Debut In The Emperor's Cup Match?

JAKARTA - Indonesian national team player, Pratama Arhan, has rejoined Tokyo Verdy after serving his country in the 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers.

The 20-year-old flew from Kuwait and arrived in Japan on Friday, 17 June. Pratama Arhan then underwent quarantine for three days.

Pratama Arhan just joined the team's training on Monday, June 20 yesterday. Now, the former PSIS Semarang player is ready to fight for a place in the Japanese team again.

"Hello, all Tokyo Verdy supporters and supporters in Indonesia. As of today, I have joined the team after undergoing quarantine and independent training," he said in a video uploaded to the Tokyo Verdy Instagram account.

The footballer from Blora was warmly welcomed by the club and his colleagues. They are eager to train for the nearest match in the Emperor's Cup.

Tokyo Verdy will play away to Kawasaki Frontale headquarters on Wednesday, June 22 tomorrow. Kawasaki is a team that plays in the first caste of the Japanese J-League.

"I'm doing the training with enthusiasm and my friends are very happy," continued Arhan.

So far, Arhan has not had the opportunity to play with Tokyo Verdy. If you look at the player's performance in the 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers, there is a possibility that he will get his first game.

Arhan previously contributed to the Indonesian national team in the 2023 Asian Cup qualification which took place from 8 to 15 June. He and his colleagues successfully won tickets to the final round with the status of one of the five best runner-up teams.

During the qualifying round Indonesia won two wins and one defeat. Two victories were obtained over Kuwait and Nepal, while the only defeat suffered when they met Jordan.

The ticket for the final round ended the 15-year wait for the Garuda squad. Indonesia last participated in the Asian Cup in 2007.
