In The City Of Manchester, Erik Ten Hag Chooses To Live In The Same Place As Pep Guardiola

JAKARTA - After being officially appointed as the new coach of Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag will automatically receive a number of top facilities from the club. One of them is a place to live.

However, rather than occupying the facilities in the provided location, Ten Hag prefers to live in the same place as Josep Guardiola, the coach of Manchester City.

Reporting from the Liverpool Echo, the Red Devils actually expect the coach to occupy the "Golden Triangle" area which is in the area between Alderley Edge, Prestbury, and Wilmslow.

This was intended so that Ten Hag could keep his private life out of the public eye. However, Ten Hag has turned down the offer and said he prefers to experience more interaction with local fans in the city center.

The source also said that Ten Hag would most likely choose to live in an apartment called Deansgate City Suites, which is also where Pep Guardiola, Ilkay Gundogan, and Bernardo Silva live.

It was chosen by Ten Hag because the coach was already fairly familiar with Guardiola. The reason is, Ten Hag and Guardiola used to work together when the two sensational coaches handled Bayern Munich.

With this choice, Ten Hag will become Manchester United's second coach after Sir Alex Ferguson to stay in the city center permanently.

On the other hand, Ten Hag is known to start coaching the Red Devils squad after his contract with Ajax Amsterdam is complete. The Dutch coach will join when United undergoes the 2022 pre-season tournament.

Uniquely, Ten Hag's first opponent as the new coach of the Red Devils was Liverpool. Ten Hag's debut will occur when Man United against Liverpool in the pre-season Bangkok Century Cup tournament at Rajamangala Stadium, Thailand on 12 July.
