JAKARTA - PSS Sleman officially retains seven players to navigate the Liga 1 competition next season. They are Riki Dwi, Irkham Mila, Mario Maslac, Kim Jeffrey Kurniawan, Dave Mustin, Derry Rahman, and Bagus Nirwanto.

"These seven Super Elja players will still be fighting for the temple crest on the chest next season!" PSS wrote on the club's official Instagram account quoted by Antara, Friday 15 April.

Through this upload, the management of Laskar Sembada, another nickname for PSS, also posted photos of the seven players in club uniforms.

"Come on, penggawa," added PSS, accompanying the upload.

The club, which is based in Sleman, Yogyakarta, is known to have just hired Seto Nurdiantoro as head coach to prepare the Jawa Super Eagle squad for next season's competition.

Seto is not a new face at PSS because he previously handled Super Elja from 2018 to 2020, and led his team to be promoted to Liga 1 2019.

PSS management also announced the arrival of Ansyari Lubis as assistant coach and Asep Ardiansyah as physical trainer who will accompany Seto.

Meanwhile, PSS has just lost a player with the departure of Asyraq Gufron who has defended the pride of the Sleman community for three seasons.

"This is a tough decision for me but a decision I have to make immediately," said the defender who earned the nickname "Bison".
