Meeting Jokowi Becomes An Unforgettable Experience For Veda Ega Pratama: My Enthusiasm For A World Racing Career

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invited MotoGP racers to the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 16. Among the world's racers, there are two riders from Indonesia, namely Mario Suryo Aji and Veda Ega Pratama.

Mario Aji is an Indonesian racer who took part in the Moto3 world championship. Meanwhile, Veda Ega is pursuing a career in the Asia Talent Cup.

The name Veda Ega recently came to the fore. This is inseparable from his achievement on the third podium during the second race of the 2022 Asia Talent Cup at the Losail Circuit, Qatar, some time ago.

Veda Ega admitted that he was very happy to have the opportunity to meet President Jokowi in person. The 13-year-old racer also did not expect to be able to ride together with the MotoGP riders ahead of the race at the Mandalika Circuit.

"An unforgettable experience and one that will inspire me to pursue a career as a world-class racer, making Indonesia proud in the world of international racing", said Veda Ega, in a release received by VOI.

Meanwhile, General Manager Marketing Planning & Analysis of Astra Honda Motor, Andy Wijaya, appreciated the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP Parade. This parade is expected to further increase people's love for racing in Indonesia.

In addition, Andy also hopes that the presence of Veda Ega and Mario Aji as AHM fostered racers can inspire young people in Indonesia to achieve their dreams of becoming world racers.

"This is expected to be an inspiration for the younger generation, especially the talented Indonesian racers, to continue to be enthusiastic about realizing the dream of making the Indonesian nation proud", said Andy.

Veda Ega and Mario Aji are now preparing for the race at the Mandalika Circuit, March 18-20. As is known, the Mandalika Circuit will not only hold a MotoGP event but also the Asia Talent Cup race this weekend.
