JAKARTA - The war between Russia and Ukraine continues. Almost all Ukrainians took to the battlefield to repulse the troops of the Red Bear Country.
One of them is former Ukrainian tennis player, Sergiy Stakhovsky. The man who once defeated Roger Federer at Wimbledon in 2013, is reported to have registered as a Ukrainian military reserve.
Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic, who knew this immediately offered to help. In a post on Stakhovsky's social media account, Djokovic offered financial and other assistance.
"I'm thinking of you... may everything calm down soon," read the message from the 20-times Grand Slam Champion from Serbia to Stakhovsky.
"Please tell me the best address to send help. Financial assistance, other assistance as well..." wrote Djokovic.

In his upload, Stakhovsky thanked Djokovic for the support provided. He also revealed, is currently on standby.
The 36-year-old man also posted a photo of military equipment with Ukrainian flags on his Twitter account with the caption "my guardian angel."
Stakhovsky chose to retire from tennis after the Australian Open in January, AFP reported. He had returned to Kyiv to take part in the war against Russia.
