Faced With Madura United In The Midst Of Squad Limitations, Persija Pede Won Full Points

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta will face Madura United in week 24 of Liga 1 2021/2022 at I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali. Ahead of the match which will take place on Wednesday, the Kemayoran Tigers are optimistic that they can win the full three points even though their squad is still 'limping'.

Currently the Capital City team is in a difficult situation because a number of players and even their head coach have had to be sidelined due to exposure to COVID-19.

However, the assistant coach of Persija Ferdiansyah emphasized that his team will try to perform optimally in the match against Madura United later. Moreover, they have also conducted an evaluation after the draw against Arema FC last week.

"The evaluation continues, from yesterday's results (against Arema FC) we have started to be better in attack and defense. We need to improve this," he said, quoted from Persija's official website.

"Yesterday's results can be applied to Madura United. Hopefully it will be better and Persija is optimistic that they can get full points," he hoped.

Furthermore, Ferdiansyah emphasized that only players who were declared healthy were brought against Madura United. Therefore, the team will monitor in detail the results of the PCR swab test and the condition of each player before the match is held.

“Today the team conducted a PCR swab test. Hopefully the results are all negative, all healthy. Because what determines the players who play is the test results. But everyone in the team is in good health," said Ferdiansyah.

For the condition of the players and other team members who are undergoing self-isolation, Ferdiansyah explained that their condition is now gradually recovering. The team is waiting for the results of further tests to see the final condition of the players.

"Alhamdulillah, it is not a serious symptom. Hopefully they will be negative soon and reunite with the team," he said.
