JAKARTA - AS Roma has completed the transfer of Sergio Oliveira from Porto in the January transfer window, the Serie A club announced on Thursday.

This is the second signing of Jose Mourinho's team after Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Arsenal on loan.

Oliveira has also arrived on loan, with a permanent option at the end of the season.

"Roma has always shown a real interest in me, now I want to try and immediately help the team to achieve all its targets and continue to develop the right mentality," Oliveira said.

"I'm sure my new colleagues, who can't wait to get to work, will also help me to continue to develop."

Roma did not disclose details of the deal, but Sky Italia report that the Serie A club will pay one million euros (approximately IDR 16 billion) for a loan deal with a permanent option of up to 13.5 million euros (IDR 220 billion).

The 29-year-old Portuguese centre-half has scored 39 goals in 174 appearances for Porto, winning two Portuguese league titles and two Portuguese Cups.
