Hundreds Of Athletes All Over Indonesia Flood The Selection For PBSI National Training

JAKARTA - Tickets to join the National Training Center (Pelatnas) of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) will be won by hundreds of athletes from various provinces in Indonesia.

To find the best seeds from all over Indonesia, PBSI also held the 2022 PBSI National Selection (Selection). This selection will take place on January 10-15 at the Cipayung National Training Center, East Jakarta.

"After registration closed last night, we are still recapitulating the number of athletes who registered for the National Selection," said Head of Tournament and Refereeing Mimi Irawan in an official statement received by VOI, Thursday, January 6.

Mimi ensured that at least 90 percent of the 34 PBSI Provincial Management (Pengprov) sent their representatives to this event.

The flood of enthusiasts was warmly welcomed by the Head of PP PBSI's Achievement Development Division, Rionny Mainaky. He believes PBSI will find the best talents this year.

"I am sure that from the results of this National Selection, we can get the best athletes for the future of Indonesian badminton," said Rionny.

This year's PBSI National Selection does not impose divisions 1 and 2. All athletes participating in the selection will compete in the same competition with a round robin system.

This year the National Selection Committee will compete in two age groups. The two categories are Taruna (born 2004 onwards) and Adult (born 2002 and 2003).
