Jonatan Christie Shows Off Playing Badminton With Jokowi, Netizens Mention Bonus Payment

JAKARTA - Indonesian men's singles badminton player, Jonatan Christie recently shared photos of his activities while playing badminton with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The moment was shared by Jojo through his personal Instagram account.

In several photos uploaded on Friday, December 3, Jonathan showed several moments when he played badminton with Jokowi. Jojo even played as Jokowi's tandem in the men's doubles.

The opportunity to play badminton with the president became a rare moment, therefore Jonathan was happy and did not forget to capture this moment and then uploaded it to his Instagram account.

"It's an honor to be able to play badminton with the number 1 person in Indonesia, Mr. President @jokowi and it turns out that he is quite good at playing badminton. Always be healthy for you and your family, don't forget to do regular sports, sir, and ..." wrote Jonatan Christie in the photo caption.

Interestingly, the upload was immediately crowded with comments by netizens. Instead of commenting on Jojo's game with the President, netizens idly mentioned the disbursement of bonuses for the 2021 Thomas Cup winners, of which Jonathan is one of them.

It was previously known that this meeting took place in Bali, where President Jokowi was deliberately there to make a visit to meet the Thomas Cup-winning squad. Not only that, but Jokowi also saw firsthand the trophy that Indonesia has now won.
