Fake Team Doctor Viral, PSS Sleman Opens Voice

JAKARTA - PSS Sleman's management has finally opened up about the status of their former team doctor. Recently, Elwizan Aminudin went viral because the former PSS Sleman doctor was suspected of being a fake doctor.

Previously, news circulated from the Twitter account of one of the doctors who revealed that Elwizan was a fake doctor. He is known to not have an official registration number like most licensed doctors.

"Another Fraudster, this time the victim is @PSSleman, it is said that he became a National Team Doctor. For an agency that will recruit doctors, next time check and check on the site at kki.go.id", the account wrote, quoted Thursday, December 2.

Regarding this news, PSS Sleman finally gave a response. The President Director, Andy Wardhana Putra, argued that Elwizan's presence in the team could not be separated from the intervention of the previous management.

"Doctor Amin (Elwizan Aminudin) joined last year. It was indeed from the recruitment of the old management", said Andy Wardhana Putra, quoted from information received by VOI, Friday, December 3.

Furthermore, Andy said that Elwizan's background, who had handled many clubs including the national team, was a strong consideration for PSS to recruit him.

"The track record in football is quite a lot, including as a national team doctor. Maybe that is the reason for management to recruiting", he explained.

Regarding the truth regarding the doctor's fake status, Andy still cannot provide much information. The club is still investigating.

"Right now we are also still in the investigation stage. So we can't confirm that it's a fake doctor", Andy added.

Even though the club is doing cross-checks, apparently the doctor is no longer part of the team. Andy revealed that Elwizan had left the team for the past two weeks on the grounds of taking care of his mother.

"So it was two weeks ago that (Elwizan) was not here. So yesterday it was just a phone call, he said goodbye from PSS", said Andy.

Regarding the information currently developing, PSS management will still study it carefully first. Regarding the doctor's position in the club which is currently vacant, PSS Sleman will place a temporary doctor.
