Against Myanmar, Shin Tae-yong Prepares National Team Scheme Without Egy And Elkan

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will again undergo a test match in Turkey against Myanmar. Ahead of the meeting, Shin Tae-Yong as the coach will play a different scheme without the presence of Egy Mulana Vikri and Elkan Baggott.

The second test match for the national team will be held tonight at the Emirhan Sports Complex, Turkey. Shin Tae-yong failed to include Elkan and Egy because both of them had returned to their respective clubs.

"For the core players, because Elkan and Egy have returned to the team, there will be players to replace them", said Shin Tae-yong in a statement received by VOI on Thursday, November 25.

Egy's absence in the national team because he had to return to strengthen FK Senica in the Slovak League, Egy previously only got permission to strengthen the Indonesian national team during FIFA matchday. Likewise with Elkan Baggott who had to return to England to defend Ipswich Town U-23.

Even without the presence of Egy and Elkan, the governor from South Korea made sure that the Garuda squad was ready for combat. Evan Dimas and his friends are also in the best condition to play the match against Myanmar.

"Certainly, for this match, they have prepared very well. The condition of the players is also very good", explained the 52-year-old coach.

"Honestly I know what the focus of the player is like. A lot of practice has been done to reduce mistakes. I have also spoken to the players to focus on the game", added the coach.

The trial against Myanmar became the second agenda for the national team while in Turkey. In addition to trials, the national team also conducts training camps (TC) to maximize performance ahead of appearing in the 2020 AFF Cup in December.
