The Mandalika Circuit, The Witness Of The Fierce Competition Of Razgatlioglu And Rea Scramble For The 2021 WSBK Title

JAKARTA - The Mandalika Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) will witness the fierce competition between Toprak Razgatlioglu and Jonathan Rea. Both of them will fight for the podium to lift the 2021 World Superbike (WSBK) champion trophy.

The closing series of WSBK 2021 will take place at the Mandalika Circuit on November 19-21. That's when the Mandalika Circuit will become the final battleground for the race for the world championship title for riders, manufacturers and teams that participate in WSBK.

Ahead of the fierce competition, Razgatlioglu who defended Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK had a 30-point advantage over Rea in the standings. Despite having the advantage, the Turkish racer is determined to keep trying hard at every opportunity.

"Now we have three more chances to fight for the victory, and we will work in each session to find the best set-up for the race and always improve," said Razgatlioglu, quoted by Antara, Thursday.

Razgatlioglu, who has a winning point, is still trying to relax and enjoy the race, but he will remain focused on waiting for the final result.

"This is what's on my mind, winning and enjoying the race. After we see the final result, we will focus on the same, fighting from race to race," said Razgatlioglu.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Rea, who is 30 points behind Razgatlioglu, does not want to be discouraged. For him, the race at the Mandalika Circuit will open up a great opportunity for him to overtake his opponent's points.

"We got there 30 points behind in the championship but we will fight until the end," said Rea.

"With three chances to score points in front of my eyes I will be 100 per cent giving my maximum," he said.

Riding a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR, Rea can't wait to try out a new track at the Mandalika Circuit and fight on the 4.3km circuit with 17 corners.

“This looks like a circuit that would match the power of our ZX10-RR,” said Rea.

"We will work hard on Friday to study the circuit and perfect our setup."
