JAKARTA - The Pertamina Mandalika Circuit is a new challenge for Toprak Razgatlioglu when the Pata Yamaha team racer will fight for the World Superbike world title in the season-ending and decisive series which will be held in Lombok, NTB this weekend.

Razgatlioglu has a 30-point lead as the leader of the standings over Kawasaki's Jonathan Rea in one of the tightest seasons in 33 years.

"I'm happy to be in Indonesia right now, it's always interesting to come to a new track," said Razgatlioglu, as quoted by Antara, Thursday.

"I've seen photos and videos of the layout and it looks fun to race with."

On the 4.3 km circuit with 17 corners, Razgatlioglu has a chance to stop the dominance of Rea, who has won six WSBK world titles in a row since 2015.

A maximum of 62 points is ready to be won from two races and one Superpole race for 10 laps this weekend.

"Now we have three more chances to fight for the win, and we will work in each session to find the best set-up for the race and always improve."

"This is what is on my mind, win and enjoy the race. After we see the final result, we will focus on the same, fighting from race to race."

Yamaha will also be seeking to claim the constructors' title for the first time since 2007 after bagging a 16-point lead over Ducati.
