Novak Djokovic Again Proves Himself As Tennis No. 1 World For The Seventh Time

JAKARTA - Novak Djokovic won again in the last match he played. Not only victory, but Djokovic also made history as world number one at the end of the year for the seventh time.

This record was achieved by Djokovic after defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final of the Paris Masters 2021. In the meeting that took place at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in Paris, France on Monday, November 8 in the morning, Djokovic recorded wins 4-6, 6-3, and 6 -3.

The result was also a response made by Djokovic after losing to Medvedev in the previous US Open final. This victory also made Djokovic record seven world titles since 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2018, and 2020.

Djokovic, who extended his record as the oldest man to finish in number one at the end of the year, has lost just one win after completing a Grand Slam in 2021.

The Serbian has also surpassed Roger Federer's record of 310 weeks of being the world number one on March 8 and will finish the 2021 season after holding the top spot for 348 weeks (as of November 22).
