Asia Talent Cup Racers Arrive November 11, Mandalika Circuit Is Ready For First Trial

JAKARTA - The Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) or MotoGP Junior riders are scheduled to arrive at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, on November 11.

Head of Operations - Sporting Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), Dyan Dilato said, the young racers from various Asian countries will try out the first Pertamina Street Circuit Mandalika before the World Superbike (WSBK) event which is scheduled to be held on November 19-21, 2021.

"All preparations for holding the IATC event have been completed. Including the vehicles that will be used by the racers, they arrived at the circuit last week. Likewise, all the logistics have been prepared," he said, reported by Antara, Thursday.

In the 2021 Asia talent cup which will be held at the Mandalika circuit, there are eight country representatives who will participate. Among them, Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Qatar, Thailand and Turkey.

This competition provides an opportunity for the most talented young riders in Asia as a first step towards MotoGP. There are four young drivers from Indonesia who will compete in this event. Of course this will be the pride of the Indonesian people to watch their actions a week before the WSBK event.

As is known, the IATC racers will use the Honda NSF250R. The vehicle is powered by a liquid-cooled, single cylinder, 4-stroke engine with a bore and stroke of 78.0 x 52.2 mm. The engine capacity of this motorbike is 249.3 cc which is specially designed for racing purposes.
