Suzuki Showcases The Concept Of E-Burgman Electric Motorcycle In Japan, Will It Enter Indonesia?

JAKARTA - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales launched the Burgman Street 125EX at the IMOS+2023 event at the end of October 2023. This iron horse added to the selection of automatic motors with an engine capacity of 125 cc in the country.

Speaking of Burgman, it turns out that Suzuki Global has exhibited an electric version (concept) nicknamed E-Burgman at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show from October 25 to November 5, 2023.

Since Suzuki has not at all presented electric motorbikes for the country's market, it is certainly a big question whether the concept model will also be brought to Indonesia?

In response to this, Suzuki Indonesia spoke through Zulfikar Rafi Al Ghany, Head of Public Relations of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales. According to him, E-Burgman is still a concept that there is no official statement when it will be made.

"E-Brgman is a concept. There has been no official statement regarding when it will be produced and will be marketed anywhere," he said when contacted by VOI, Sunday, November 5.

As is known, the E-Burgman concept model carries batteries that can be exchanged or swaps, making it easier for each user without having to wait long to charge the battery. Meanwhile, several electric motorcycle brands in Indonesia also apply the same thing.

Of course, not a few hope that Suzuki will bring electric two-wheeled lines, considering that several well-known manufacturers such as Honda and Yamaha have introduced a model of electric motorcycle speda for the Indonesian market.
