JAKARTA - Japanese tuner Mugen offers a very rare "Spec.III" package, complete with retro graphics and a limited production of only 16 units of the latest generation Honda Prelude car.

Citing Carscoops, Friday, January 9, the Spec.III package is a modern homage to the Spec.II kit from 1987, which was designed for the third generation Prelude.

This version offers aerodynamic kits such as full carbon fiber materials and a sport exhaust, although the shock absorbers, brake pads, and upgraded BBS rims are still sold separately.

To give the Spec.III its own identity, Mugen added exclusive stickers and a serial number badge. The graphics stretch along the doors and quarter panels, following the Prelude's raised waistline.

With red, gold, and black on a gray base, the sticker gives the modern hybrid coupe a vintage feel. However, most of the visual differences between this kit and the standard kit are quite limited.

For collectors and fans, the main attraction may be the numbered plaque, which is coated with typical motorsport colors and features the writing 'Mugen Prelude Spec.III'.

The Spec.III kit is priced at 1,650,000 yen or Rp. 176 million, and to get this package, Mugen runs a lottery system. Registration is open from January 8 to February 27, 2026, with 16 winners to be announced on March 19. Delivery for this exclusive unit is scheduled to begin on June 19.

Components that anyone can buy on the market include a two-piece front splitter for 242,000 yen (Rp25 million), side skirts for 330,000 yen or Rp35 million. Completing the exterior transformation is a rear bumper extension for 253,000 yen (Rp27 million) and more.

For the interior, Mugen offers a branded floor mat for 46,200 yen (Rp4 million), a compatible luggage mat, sill guards are all designed specifically for the latest Prelude. For those who are interested in more than just appearance, Mugen also provides performance hardware.
