JAKARTA - Suzuki's latest SUV born in India, the Victoris, has won the prestigious 'Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2026' award.

ICOTY is the most prestigious automotive award in India, judged by a panel consisting of 12 leading automotive magazines and 19 automotive experts.

This award marks the third win for this model and the fifth win overall for Maruti Suzuki. In 2006 there was the Suzuki Swift, 2012 Swift, 2017 Vitara Brezza and 2019 there was the Swift.

Managing Director of Maruti Suzuki, Hisashi Takeuchi, expressed his honor to receive this award for Victoris. This car is designed to provide all the features that modern customers may need today.

The latest Victoris is an SUV that features futuristic design along with upgraded equipment for safety and comfort. The car offers three powertrain options, namely mild hybrid 1.5L, strong hybrid, and CNG variant which is Suzuki's first model to adopt a tank layout under the body, placing the CNG tank under the vehicle body to secure a spacious trunk.

The exterior features a futuristic and authoritative appearance, with a firm body shape, LED headlights, and LED combination rear lights. The interior combines modern style with everyday comfort, featuring a detailed instrument panel design and 64-color LED ambient lighting, creating a stylish atmosphere.

The latest Victoris is produced at Maruti Suzuki's Kharkhoda Plant and has been sold at Maruti Suzuki Arena outlets since September 2025.
