Lexus And Toyota Prepare Three New Hybrid-Based Sport Cars V8

JAKARTA - Lexus and Toyota gave a surprise towards the end of the year featuring three sports car silhouettes which will be introduced on December 4. One of them is believed by the highway version and the racing version of the Toyota GR.

Meanwhile, in the teaser, it is suspected that one new coupe is a production version of the Lexus Sport Concept. The model associated as Lexus Sport Concept appears with a typical two-door coupe proportion, long engine hood, low roof, and futuristic backlight similar to the previous concept.

Although initially expected to be present as a full electric car, the latest report shows that its production version actually carries the V8 hybrid engine developed by the GR performance division. This decision also marks Lexus' move to maintain the sporty character based on combustion engines, amid a shift in industry towards electrification.

As reported by Carscoops, Wednesday, December 3, the car is expected to start marketing in 2026. The next silhouette is the Toyota GR GT, a new supercar with a V8 4.0 liter twin-turbo engine combined with a self-charging hybrid system.

The power produced by the gasoline engine alone is said to reach around 800 stances. This figure makes it one of the most powerful cars Toyota has ever developed.

The racing version is also displayed with a more aggressive display through the use of hollow feders, large diffusers, and fixed backwings that show orientation for official competitions. The presence of these three models reflects Toyota and Lexus' strategic steps in strengthening their high performance car portfolios.

An approach that continues to combine combustion engines with hybrid technology signals that both want to maintain the sensation of driving typical sports cars. In addition, sharpening their identity in the luxury supercar and coup segments in the coming years.
