No Damage Reports, Toyota Still Withdraws 55 Thousand Units Of This Model, Why?

JAKARTA The United States Toyota announced the recall of around 55 thousand units of the 2025 Toyota Sienna model, although there have been no official reports from vehicle owners regarding the issues found. This step was taken proactively as a form of manufacturer's commitment to user safety.

In its official statement, Toyota explained that the problem lies in the second row seat rail (second-row seat rails) which may not be welded with adequate force. This condition can cause the structure of the seat to lose its resistance during high-speed collisions, thereby increasing the risk of injury for passengers.

"Although no incidents have been reported, we have decided to make withdrawals as a precautionary measure. Customer safety has always been Toyota's top priority," the company wrote in an official statement quoted from CarBuzz, Tuesday, October 14.

Toyota ensures that all affected vehicle owners will be contacted starting December 2025. The company will repair vehicles at official dealers by replacing second row seats with strengthened components. The entire repair process will be carried out free of charge for vehicle owners.

The Japanese manufacturer also appealed to the owners of Sienna 2025 to check whether their car was included in the recall list through Toyota's official website or by entering a vehicle identification number (VIN).

In addition, the United States Toyota provides customer service to help users get more information. The company insists that all replacements and repairs will be fully borne by Toyota alias free.
