PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) won the 2025 Green Economy Award for the Vehicle Electrification Variation Innovation category.

This award highlights the implementation of Toyota's Multi Pathway strategy in presenting a variety of electrification technologies that allow people to actively contribute to reducing emissions according to their respective lifestyles and vehicle preferences.

Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) Jap Ernando Demily, said the Multi Pathway Strategy implemented by the company had brought Toyota on the right track, in support of the Net Zero Emission 2060 target of the Government of Indonesia and the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050.

"In the future, Toyota will continue to present an inclusive and affordable choice of electrification vehicles, so that all levels of society can participate in efforts to reduce emissions and build a better future," he said, in his official statement, Friday, August 15.

The Green Economy Award is an award given by one of these national media to appreciate companies, institutions, and organizations that have a high commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects through programs and initiatives that contribute to the green economy and sustainable development.

Through Beyond Zero's vision, Toyota carries out Multi Pathway's strategy by presenting a wide selection of environmentally friendly mobility to reduce emissions while at the same time utilizing New Renewable Energy (EBT).

Toyota's choice of electrification vehicles (xEV) is a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) that is increasingly popular during the energy transition, the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) that has begun to be accepted by the public, the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) which combines the advantages of HEV and BEV, as well as the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) which encourages the use of alternative energy Hydrogen and opens up new industrial opportunities from its processing.

Hybrid EV is the most popular electrification technology today. One of them is Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix HEV, which is the Hybrid Toyota model that has proven reliable, so that it has become the main choice of society until now.

"In line with Beyond Zero's vision, all of these efforts are part of Toyota's contribution to emission reduction and realizing Net Zero Carbon in Indonesia. We hope that our small step in providing environmentally friendly mobility solutions can inspire people to start a bigger real step and have a positive impact on life," he added.

The sustainability of Toyota's electrification vehicles is reinforced by the Toyota xEV Ecosystem which continues to grow. So far, there are 358 authorized dealers spread throughout Indonesia, including a network of workshops with certified technicians who are ready to provide quality services. Customers also receive guaranteed original registered parts, Toyota Mobile Service (TMS) services and Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERA).

"Toyota sees that success in reducing emissions does not stop at vehicle sales, but also at guarantees of ease and calm of customers in their daily use," he concluded.
