JAKARTA Strengthening the electric vehicle ecosystem, PLN UID Jakarta Raya inaugurated two new Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) units in the commercial area of Meneer's Koffie, East Jakarta. This inauguration is part of the Kartini Go Electric program, coinciding with the momentum of Kartini Day commemoration.
This program encourages the active involvement of women in the energy transition, as well as invites them to become pioneers of an electric-based environmentally friendly lifestyle. This activity also involves female figures from Cipayung and Ciracas sub-districts.
General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Lasiran, emphasized PLN's commitment to building electric vehicle infrastructure that is easily accessible to the public.
"We present this SPKLU to support electrifying lifestyle. We want Indonesian women to be at the forefront of changing towards a sustainable future," said Lasiran in his statement Wednesday, April 23.

The SPKLU is equipped with modern technology, operates 24 hours, and is fully integrated with the PLN Mobile application. The location was chosen strategically so that it can reach more electric vehicle users in the East Jakarta area.
The collaboration between PLN and Meneer's Koffie also provides a new experience in charging vehicles. Users can enjoy live music, car wash, and free drinks for selected customers.
Manager of Meneer's Koffie, Dori Rendra Kudus, said the concept was made so that customers can enjoy time while waiting for the charging to finish. Meanwhile, PLN UP3 Ciracas Manager, Anton Suprapto Adi, added that the presence of this SPKLU will make it easier for the public, especially women, to start switching to electric vehicles.
Through Kartini Go Electric, PLN UID Jakarta Raya hopes that more and more women will be actively involved in changes to a greener environment. This program is a symbol that women are not only users of technology, but also leaders in Indonesia's clean energy movement.
