V-Green Will Build 100 Thousand Electric Vehicle Battery Charging Infrastructure In RI

JAKARTA - V-Green, a company under the auspices of VinFast, a Vietnamese car brand in collaboration with Prime Group, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a network of VinFast electric vehicle charging stations in Indonesia.

The move is in line with V-Green's global mission to expand electric vehicle charging infrastructure against sustainable transportation.

The two companies will develop cooperation in the construction of charging stations in Indonesia with a total of 100,000 VinFast charging stations in Indonesia in the near future of three years.

"Utilizing our overall expertise for the industry, we are proud to partner with V-Green to take advantage of the great potential of the environmentally friendly transportation sector in Indonesia," said Prime Group Chairman Tamer Wagih Salem, in an official statement received by VOI, Thursday, December 12.

He further expressed confidence that this collaboration was also driven by a strong reputation, and did not benefit the two companies but also contributed significantly to the growth of the electric vehicle market in Southeast Asia.

"This partnership with V-GREEN will take place for us to explore more opportunities globally, starting from Indonesia then developing to the Middle East, Europe, Britain and the United States. Together, we will create extraordinary values for the community and the global community," he added.

On the same occasion, V-Green CEO Nguyen Thanh Duong said this collaboration also opens up new opportunities to create a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem.

"This collaboration will produce significant benefits for companies, consumers, and the community," said Nguyen Thanh Duong.

The construction of the charging station will begin in January 2025 with a number of stations expected to be operational this year.
