JAKARTA - Not long ago, PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) presented the MX-30 model as the first electric vehicle (EV) from the Mazda brand to be sold in the Indonesian market.

In addition to presenting the EV line for the first time in the Indonesian market, Mazda's single brand-holding agent (ATPM) will also prepare adequate infrastructure to support the electrification ecosystem.

PT EMI's Chief Operating Officer, Ricky Thio, said that his party has a target to build charging infrastructure for each network of its dealers in Indonesia in the near future.

"In addition to EVs, we also have a target to build infrastructure in each dealer," said Ricky after the launch event in Simprug, Jakarta, Monday, November 11.

However, he also emphasized that the infrastructure is not only for EVs but also for cars with plug-in hybrid (PHEV) systems.

"This does not only apply to BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) but also Plug-in Hybrid which requires supporting infrastructure," added Ricky.

He also added that his party only has a plan to present an AC charging system to each of its dealer networks and has not provided fast charging.

"We feel that the AC charging system is sufficient to support this MX-30 car," explained Ricky.

In addition to providing supporting services for electric cars, EMI also offers equipment such as 22 kW wall-chargers and portable-chargers in the purchase of Mazda MX-30 in Indonesia worth IDR 860 million on The Road DKI Jakarta.

The crossover has an e-Skyactiv electric motor with a power of up to 145 ps and a torque of 271 Nm. This is accompanied by a lithium-ion 35.5 kWh battery so that it can cover a range of up to 200 km according to the WLTP.
