JAKARTA - PT Indomobil Energi Baru, as the sole agent of brand holder (ATPM) from the Maxus brand in Indonesia, confirmed that it will also celebrate the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) exhibition which will take place on November 22 December 1, 2024 and will be held at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

The brand from China announced that it will feature Mifa 9, an electric premium MPV-style model. This vehicle is not only powered by electricity (EV), but also has a luxurious style for executives.

PT Indomobil Energi Baru Chief Operating Officer Yudhy Tan, said the model would be produced domestically while realizing the company's commitment to contributing to EV growth in Indonesia.

"We are proud to be able to produce Maxus Mifa 9 domestically as part of our commitment to developing electric vehicles in Indonesia," said Yudhy Tan in his statement, Friday, October 25.

By being produced locally, this allows Mifa 9 to have a lower price when compared to the CBU version. It is hoped that this premium MPV can be priced below IDR 1.1 billion.

With competitive prices and supported by advanced technology, premium comfort, and practicality presented, this model is believed to be the main choice for consumers who prioritize environmentally friendly mobility without neglecting luxury and performance.

Although further specifications have not been disclosed, it is estimated that Mifa 9 of the local production version has an impressive range in its class of up to 500 km in one charge of a large capacity battery.

Previously, it was announced that Maxus would enter the Indonesian market following a collaboration between the Indomobil Group and SAIC-Maxus in May 2024.
