The Latest Generation Of Toyota Hilux Will Have The Latest 2.0 Liter Machine, What's The Advantage?

Toyota has confirmed that the latest generation Hilux will come with a big surprise and is ready to hit the pickup vehicle market.

There is still no official clarity regarding the latest Hilux, but Toyota ensures that it will fight for the existence of this pickup and promises that there will be big news about this model.

Recently, Hilux is rumored to be coming with engines more powerful than ever and carrying the latest 224 kW-powered 4-cylinder 2.0 liter turbocharged.

According to Drive, Thursday, September 26, the engine to be installed in Hilux's car comes from the latest 4-cylinder family on display last May during Toyota's carbon-free engine development event with Mazda and Subaru.

During the event, foreign media were invited to ride a Hilux with a 2.0 liter turbo gasoline engine with a power of around 224 kW combined with a manual transmission of six accelerations. It was reported that the redline for this machine reached 6,200 rpm.

It is reported that the machine can provide light acceleration when it first steps on the gas and does not experience turbo lag, so the car runs smoothly and fun to drive.

Although the torsion figure is not stated, this output exceeds that of the 2.8 liter turbo-diesel 4-cylinder engine measuring 165 kW offered on the current Hilux GR Sport.

It was also rumored that the latest generation of Hilux will have a 2.0 liter engine configuration but with a power of up to 300 kW. If the news becomes true, then this could be a direct competitor to the Ford Ranger Raptor.

Now the Ford Ranger Raptor has a 3.0 liter V6 twin-turbo engine that produces 292 kW of power. However, other news says that the Hilux pickup will have the same 6-cylinder engine options as the Land Cruiser.
