JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) presents movable works of art that combine the beauty of traditional batik with the latest technology, in a new electric SUV J6.

Wrapped in black as the basis and covered with Paint Protection Film (PPF), this electric car body is painted manually by the famous automotive custom painting, Muhammad Syamsul Fahmi.

Head of Brand Department of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, Rifkie Setiawan said, batik and Chery J6 have similarities in terms of aesthetic and quality values.

Batik is a timeless cultural heritage, as well as a Chery J6 design that combines fashion and trendy which makes it look eye catching. Both are perfect combinations between tradition and innovation," he said, in his official statement received, Wednesday, November 27.

Interestingly, the batik motif that adorns Chery J6 is inspired by Chinese porcelain or ceramics from the 18-19 century. The images of trees, flowers, and dragons that dominate this motif have a deep meaning.

Dragons, for example, symbolize strength, nationality, luck and prosperity. It is hoped that the vibration of this painting motif can provide positive energy to vehicles.

"This collaboration is a form of our appreciation for Indonesia's cultural heritage as well as introducing the beauty of batik to the world. In addition, we also want to invite people to love domestic products more," he added.

In specifications, this SUV is equipped with a driving experience that can cover up to 426 km in the RWD and 418 km variants of the AWD variant based on the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) method. Fast acceleration 0-100 km/hour is only 6.5 seconds in the AWD variant.
