BYD Predicted To Reach Production Record Of 10-11 Million Electric Vehicles In The Near Future

JAKARTA Two months ago, BYD Dolphin launched from a new BYD factory in Thailand while marking the achievement of the production of the manufacturer's 8 millionth total electric vehicle. BYD's achievements in electric vehicle production are impressive. In less than three years since reaching the figure of one million units, the company has succeeded in producing eight million additional electric vehicles.

Today, BYD Auto is back in history by launching the 9 millionth electric vehicle (EV) out of its production line. What's special, this 9 millionth car is the Yangwang U9 supercar.

CarNewsChina reported, September 26, with current production and sales rates, BYD is predicted to reach 10 million and even 11 million electric vehicles in the near future.

BYD Yangwang U9 itself is a masterpiece of electrical technology from BYD. This supercar is equipped with four electric motors that produce a combined power of 960 kW, capable of reaching acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 2.36 seconds, and has the highest speed of up to 309 km/hour. In addition, U9 is also equipped with a Disus X suspension system that provides full control of the body.

To support high performance, U9 uses an iron phosphate blade lithium iron battery with a capacity of 80 kWh which can provide a range of up to 450 km. This car also supports fast charging with up to 500 kW of power, so it can charge the battery from 30% to 80% within 10 minutes.

BYD also revealed that it uses advanced technology in the production of Yangwang U9, including the use of fiber carbon-based body structures which are claimed to be five to six times more powerful than steel. The car is produced at a special electric supercar factory in Shenshan, which is equipped with modern production facilities and skilled labor.
