Many Civic Type R Fans Recently Become More Expensive

The latest Honda Civic Type R has become a center of attention in the high-performance vehicle segment. Combining sporty designs with superior performance and control, this car offers a pleasant and thrilling driving experience.

However, for fans and potential buyers, be prepared to spend more. Honda has raised the price of Civic Type R for the 2025 model. Based on a report from Motor1, Friday, August 30, the price of this car has now increased by 800 US dollars (around Rp. 12.3 million) compared to the previous model. Now, the price of Civic Type R starts at 46,690 US dollars (around Rp. 722.9 million), including shipping costs.

However, Honda has not provided details regarding what additional features or changes make the price of this car soar. Some of the possible reasons are economic factors and marketing strategies, although the color options for this car are still limited to two options. If you want another color, the buyer must be ready to pay extra fees.

In its class, Civic Type R faces competition from other models such as Volkswagen Golf R at prices ranging from 46,890 US dollars (around Rp725.9 million) and the more affordable Toyota GR Corolla at a price of 37,635 US dollars (around Rp582.7 million).

This latest Civic Type R is equipped with a 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine capable of generating up to 314 dk of power and 420 Nm of torque, a significant increase compared to the previous generation which had 305 dk of power. In addition to impressive performance, Honda also provides this car with the latest technology, such as the LogR feature which functions as a driving guide and accurately records lap times.

Not only that, Civic Type R is also equipped with an Individual Mode feature that allows drivers to adjust engine performance according to preferences, as well as standard Honda SENSING safety technology.

Meanwhile, for the Indonesian market, the manufacturer with the 'H' logo costs the Honda Civic Type R at a price of IDR 1.3 billion on the Jakarta OTR.
