JAKARTA - An automotive manufacturer from China, BYD has signed an agreement with Huawei in developing an advanced autonomous driving system on Fang Cheng Bao's car.

Launching from Automotive News, Wednesday, August 28, Fangchengbao Bao 8 will be the latest model of BYD to use Huawei's smart drive system and will go on sale later this year.

The partnership follows BYD's efforts to move to an upper scale with the aim of increasing sales of premium brands such as Denza, Fang Cheng Bao, and Yangwang to increase profitability.

According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, these three luxury brands contributed 5 percent of the total sales of this well-known producer in the first half of 2024.

In addition, Huawei's use of technology aims to catch up with BYD from its competitors in improving smart driving configurations through internal development.
