VinFast VF9 Given Large Discounts In The US

VinFast recently cut the price of VF9 electric cars in the US market by more than 10,000 US dollars (Rp154.7 million).

Reportedly from CarBuzz, Tuesday, August 27, this large-dimensional car was reduced in price from US$83,000 (Rp1.2 billion) to US$69,800 (Rp1,080 billion) in the entry-level Eco variant.

In addition, the Plus variant also received a discount from 91,000 US dollars (Rp1,408 billion) and is now discounted to US$73,800 (Rp1.14 billion). Both are equipped with a battery with a capacity of 123 kWh.

For the Eco variant, this car is claimed to be able to cover a distance of up to 330 miles or 531 km. Meanwhile, higher Plus types are offered with a range of 291 miles or 468 km in one charge.

Talking about its performance, VinFast VF9 is armed with electric drive with a maximum power of 402 dk so that it can accelerate from 0 to 97 km/hour within 6.63 seconds.

These two variants are equipped with a number of other standard equipment, such as a two-zone temperature controller, a 15.6-inch infotainment display, a 13-speaker audio system, and a series of full driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The SUV also has several elements of luxury in it such as imitation leather seat, powered front seat, and power-operated tailgate. Plus variants get heating, ventilation, and massage functions on the front seat.

This car is the ideal competitor for the Tesla Model X Plaid at a price of 94,990 US dollars (Rp1,470 billion) or more expensive than VinFast VF9. However, the car offers a range of up to 524 km with acceleration from 0 to 97 km/hour in 2.5 seconds like the supercar.

VinFast VF9 also competes with Rivian R1S which has qualified off-road capabilities with price tag ranging from 75,900 US dollars (Rp1,174 billion) to 82,900 US dollars (Rp1,283 billion).

The Vietnamese manufacturer plans to send the model at the end of 2023, but has been delayed. VF9 will be scheduled to be delivered starting next September.
