Toyota Leaks The Presence Of Electrified Models And Gazoo Racing At GIIAS 2024, Anything?

JAKARTA - The 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) is one of the exhibitions that several parties have been waiting for. Not only awaited by automotive lovers, but also from the sole agent of the holder (ATPM) in the country.

Toyota is one of the manufacturers taking part in this event. Through PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), this Japanese brand will bring various models that will steal the public's attention.

Public Relations Manager of PT TAM Arie Hermawan, said that this year there will be various products, both in terms of aftersales to many vehicles at the GIIAS 2024 event.

"This year we will present all products in terms of aftersales and present several 30 vehicles in line with our vision of 'Mobility for All'," said Arie in his presentation during a presentation to the media in Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 12.

Arie added that the products to be presented consist of a number of Toyota's mainstay environmentally friendly models, consisting of hybrid-tech cars to hydrogen. As before, the manufacturer will also showcase various models from the Gazoo Racing (GR) division.

From that amount, we will feature our entire electrification variants consisting of Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV), Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), and Fuel-Cell (FCEV). In addition, we will display a number of variants of the Gazoo Racing (GR) division, "added Arie.

Not only that, this manufacturer will launch three new models, two of which are electrification products and high-performance cars that are claimed to have fun driving.

"We will launch three models, two of which are electrification, namely a legendary model and pioneer of Toyota environmentally friendly vehicles. Then there is Gazoo Racing offering elements of fun to drive' and powered by more than 300 dk," added Arie.

It is possible that the latest electrification product that this manufacturer will offer is the PHEV Prius and has been exhibited at the GIIAS 2023 event. Furthermore, the model is the first to adopt a hybrid system from Toyota.

In the external market, this latest generation of Prius offers two machine options, namely 1,800 cc and 2,000 cc. For 2.0 liter engines, it is capable of blowing up to 193 dk of power and has fuel consumption of up to 28.6 km/liter.

Meanwhile, the 1,800 cc engine option has a more efficient fuel efficiency capability of up to 32.6 km/liter. Not only is it efficient in fuel, the hybrid system from Toyota can make vehicles have responsive performance.

Meanwhile, the GR product that will be presented by the ATPM is likely GR Yaris facelift. Previously, this hot hatch had made its global debut earlier this year.

This car not only offers powerful performance, but also provides convenience for drivers for adopting an automatic transmission system for the first time.

Toyota says that the automatic transmission system will be as fun as a manual dental displacement. The system is controlled by optimized software so that the software is able to detect the way the driver steps on the gas pedal and brakes.

GR Yaris facelift defended the previous engine, which was 1.6 liters of turbo. However, the engine was made more powerful from 272 ps to 304 ps and its tors from 370 Nm to 400 Nm.
