VinFast Auto provides a new experience for customers in the United States for the VF 8 model, where the Vietnamese brand offers access to streaming or entertainment services in Sony's new RIDEEVU car.

Developed by Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), RIDEEVU gives subscribers more than 2,000 films that can be screened, with the option of renting or buying premium content.

"We are excited to be the world's first automaker to officially launch the RDEVU, offering an interesting entertainment experience for our customers in the US," said US Vice President of Sales and Marketing VinFast David Duncan, in his official statement, Saturday, May 11.

The launch of this entertainment service also emphasized the commitment of Vietnamese brands to continue to provide modern and intelligent electric car products, as well as superior driving experience for customers.

Later, the RDEVU will be included as a free service in the VF Connect Prime package. In addition, VF 8 owners who register for this service will receive access to the RDEVU with a software update or OTA version 9.6.1.11.

With the Screen Manager feature, RIDEEVU offers modern technology experiences that provide convenience for each user, especially the driver. However, for these service drivers it can only be used when the car is silent or parked, charging and camping.

"Sony Pictures is very happy with this working with VinFast for the RDEVU service debut. We believe RIDEEVU will do it redefining video entertainment for the automotive industry, starting with the best in its class experience for VinFast drivers and passengers," said Digital Sales Distribution SPE Pete Wood.

The service is also expected to be available on VF 9 after being sent to the US market, and Canada will follow by the end of this year.
