Already Selling Electric Cars, Take A Peek At The Readiness Of The Indonesian Chery Dealer Network

JAKARTA - Although it has launched an electric car, it turns out that not all of Chery's dealer networks in Indonesia can sell Omoda E5 electric cars, because there are several things that must be considered.

Dealer and Network Development Manager of Chery Sales Indonesia Setia Hariadi, said that dealers who can sell electric cars must submit a proposal first.

"In the proposal, they (dealers) must have an EV Charger for mandatory in the 22 kWh parking area, then in the showroom 7 kWh and that is for standardizing chargers, and there is EV floor display and running light," he told the media crew, during the launch of a new dealer in the East Jakarta area, Wednesday, March 20.

He further said that from the aftersales side it was also different, because according to him the electric car was a special treatment because there was a large electric current in Omoda E5.

"So like it or not, there will definitely be a separation between ice and EV car services, and if for EVs the elevators used are insulators with uses when mechanics performs work, for example there will be no further induction of batteries," he added.

In addition, dealers selling electric cars will also be embedded with a kind of scanner to see the problem of electric cars in the event of a problem and there are several other things.

"There is also an EV tool set insulator to dismantle components in Omoda E5 such as batteries that it is impossible to lower the battery without trolleys, and the trolley is special so there is no short circuit," he concluded.
