Strong Commitment, Mazda Will Build A Car Assembly Center In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The seriousness of the Mazda brand in Indonesia under the auspices of PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) as the Single Agent of Brand Holders (ATPM) and distributors cannot be ignored.

The company announced a significant step by establishing an Assembly Center in Indonesia, which marks a new era in partnership between Mazda Motor Corporation (MC) and PT EMI.

This collaboration is expected to have a positive impact on the Indonesian automotive and economic industries. Moreover, the construction of this facility also reflects the commitment of both companies (MC and PT EMI) to continue to grow and innovate domestically.

The Mazda Assembly Center in Indonesia is planned to be located in West Java. PT EMI estimates that the compact crossover will become the main segment category produced in this facility, considering that this segment category is most in demand by Indonesian consumers.

"We are honored because it was given the trust by Mazda Motor Corporation to build an Assembly Center in Indonesia. The construction of this facility will be a significant milestone for us in fulfilling the demand for Mazda customers in Indonesia more efficiently and effectively," said President Director of Mazda Indonesia, Ricky Thio, in his official statement on Thursday, March 14.

Furthermore, he emphasized that Mazda Indonesia is committed to maintaining the quality standards of Mazda vehicles that are assembled locally for customers in Indonesia, so that these vehicles have the same quality as fully assembled vehicles in Japan (Completely Built Up).

The establishment of the Mazda Assembly Center in Indonesia is based on a careful and strategic understanding from the MC of Indonesia's automotive market potential. Investment support from PT EMI which is estimated to reach around Rp400 billion for project preparation as a whole also shows the company's determination to be a reliable extension to the MC, especially in PT EMI's efforts to become a key player in encouraging the growth of the automotive and economic industry in Indonesia.
