After Ioniq 5 N, Hyundai Plans To Present A High-Sex EV At Affordable Prices

JAKARTA - As previously reported by VOI, Hyundai announced that the internal combustion engine (ICE) product developed by division N had stopped its production for the European market in order to provide space for high-performance electric vehicles.

This decision certainly surprised fans of high-performance gasoline-fueled cars. However, with the increasingly massive electrification trend, Hyundai's move could be a long-term strategy to adapt to changes in the global automotive industry.

After his debut from Ioniq 5 N, the South Korean manufacturer intends to bring more EVs from various segments, including products at more affordable prices.

Albert Biemann, as the Technical Advisor of Hyundai N, said that his party is interested in presenting affordable electric vehicles with impressive performance, although it will take a long time.

This process lasts quite a long time because for me, the most important thing is to produce smaller and more affordable N electric vehicles, "not Biemann reported from Carscoops, Friday, February 1.

Biemann also emphasized that presenting N electric vehicles at affordable prices is the number one priority during his tenure in this company, at least for one or two cars in that segment.

"In my opinion, this is the number 1 job for N as we look to the future," added Biemann.

In the near future, Hyundai will release its next electric vehicle using the latest platform, namely the Integrated Modular Architecture (IMA) which is claimed to have more advanced technology than the E-GMP used in the company's current EV.

It is likely that the platform will become the foundation for future EVs from the N division. The manufacturer emphasizes that IMA has extensive flexibility so that it can be carried by various car segments and will be equipped with advanced Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) and Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries.
