Toyota Launches Vehicle Rental System For BZ4X Fans In Australia, Here's Why

JAKARTA - Toyota offers interesting things on bZ4X electric vehicles for the Australian market. The Japanese manufacturer launched a 'Full-Service Lease' for the model.

The company stipulates that the car ownership runs for a three-year period and consumers have the right to extend the lease period after the period is over. It is known that the former FSL program car will be resold by manufacturers through its dealer network.

This news comes amid concerns from buyers about the value of electric vehicle depreciation. The manufacturer said this phenomenon was one of the factors in the decision to launch the rental program.

Reporting from Drive, Thursday, February 29, this Japanese manufacturer has not determined the costs in detail regarding each monthly payment, but they say price tag can vary depending on the location of the buyer.

For example, buyers from South Melbourne who want to rent bZ4X can be charged USD 1,834 or approximately IDR 18.7 million per month. Thus, consumers can spend USD 66,024 (approximately IDR 675.4 million) during a three-year rental or cheaper than the full ownership fee of USD 71,622 (approximately IDR 732.7 million).

It was also stated that the costs of this crossover car rental program included scheduled service and maintenance, mechanical repair, tire replacement, and roadside assistance services. However, that does not include charging costs.

Please note, Toyota bZ4X has been officially sold in the land of Kangaroo at prices ranging from 66,000 Australian dollars (equivalent to Rp675 million) for the FWD variant and 74,900 Australian dollars (around Rp766.4 million) in the AWD type. This price does not include costs on The Road.
