Honda Starting In 2024 Positively After Selling More Than 93,000 Cars In The US In January

JAKARTA - Honda managed to achieve a positive trend earlier this year in the United States (US). During January 2024, this Japanese automotive manufacturer managed to sell 93,210 units or an increase of 10.3 percent compared to last year's period, consisting of Honda and Acura brands.

Reporting from the company's official website, Saturday, February 3, the brand with the 'H' logo contributed sales of 84,574 units or an increase of 12.7 percent, consisting of sales of passenger cars and light trucks.

Meanwhile, the electrification segment contributed 17,004 units, consisting of CR-V and Accord models as well as recording the best sales in the January period.

SUV models like CR-V consist of pure and hybrid ICE, earning the most sales in Uncle Sam's country by 26,352 units, or surging 31.6 percent from last year's acquisition.

This positive gain was followed by Civic, which sold 16,449 units, an increase of 23.6 percent from the previous year. Then, Accord followed with a total of 12,025 units, but experienced a decrease of 18.4 percent.

Furthermore, Honda HR-V completes the most sales with 11,956 units, up to 49.2 percent of the previous year's gains. Another SUV model, the pilot completed the top five by successfully selling 7,687 vehicles (up 10.6 percent).

Of the total 93,210 units set by the company, 8,636 of them came from the Acura brand but experienced a 9 percent decline compared to last year's score. The sale of SUVs from this luxury brand also took place strongly earlier this year.

Acura MDX became the best-selling product in the brand by successfully selling 3,111 units, but decreased 30.2 percent from last year. Then, this was followed by RDX which acquired 2,777 units, an increase of 50.3 percent.

The Integra model completes the top three positions as the best-selling product of Acura with a total of 1,865 units, and finally TLX which produces 883 units.
