JAKARTA - Automobile Lamborghini set an ambitious target to continue advancing decarbonization through the "Direzione Cor Tauri" strategy. This strategy involves electrification of the entire series of models and decarbonization efforts at the production site, reflecting the company's commitment to reducing emissions across the value chain.

The "Direzione Cor Tauri" program, announced for the first time in 2021, has started in-depth research on opportunities and challenges arising from electrification. This initiative achieved a hybridization phase in 2023, with the launch of Revuelto, the first HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) super sports car from Lamborghini.

In 2024, the electrification process will be expanded with the launch of the first hybrid version of the second Super SUV and HPEV in the series, replacing Hurac Total. Lamborghini also plans to launch the first full electric model, which will be preceded by the Lanzador concept car. As part of this commitment, the company allocated the largest investment in its history to electrify the entire product line and reduce the company's total emissions by 40 percent "per car" by 2030.

This strategy is expected to result in a significant reduction in CO2 emissions compared to 2021 for all vehicles, with a reduction target of 50 percent by 2025 and 80 percent by 2030.

Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobile Lamborghini, stated that Direzione Cor Tauri is a road map for the company to electrify the entire ranks of Lamborghini products and steps towards decarbonization.

"Not only focusing on Sant'Agata Bolognese facilities, but also involving the entire value chain, this is a holistic approach to our global environmental sustainability strategy," Winkelmann said in an official statement, quoted from the company's website, Wednesday, January 31.

Furthermore, Winkelmann stated that in the context of major transformations, every individual, company, institution, and government responsible for infrastructure and the transition to renewable energy need to contribute to achieving this goal.

"Our mission, as a recognized brand globally, continues to inspire and encourage others to overcome these modern challenges," he added.

To achieve this, this strategy involves all companies from the production stage, supply chain, logistics, to the product use phase. This approach covers the entire life cycle of the product and involves all aspects of the company.
