Nio Officially Introduces ET9 Electric Cars, Starting To Be Sent In The First Quarter Of 2025

JAKARTA- Nio officially introduced the ET9 electric car at the Nio Day 2023 event, which took place in Xi'an, China's Shaanxi province and will compete with Mercedes-Benz Maybach.

Previously, the name of the 'ET9' electric sedan had leaked on the Nio Application, and soon the company deleted it but many application users had captured it and spread it to social media.

Following the introduction process, Nio CEO William Li announced that the car will be available for a pre-order period at a price of 800,000 yuan, or around Rp1.7 billion, and will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2025, quoted from Cnevpost, Sunday, December 24.

On the occasion, Li emphasized that ET9 comes with the latest impressive technology from Nio, and is the result of the company's great investment in research and development over the past few years.

Not only that, this model will be the first model to carry Nio's 5nm-based Shenji autonomous driving chip, which Li says is capable of rivaling Nio's four Nvidia Drive Orin chips, which are now standard on all NT 2.0-based models.

More details, in design this car has a futuristic appearance seen from some of the twists and curves of its body. Moreover, there is an elongated lamp on the back embedded in the Nio logo in the middle.

Entering the cabin, with a price offer of more than IDR 1 billion, this Chinese brand offers luxury and comfort. There is a large infotainment screen on the front, and two passenger seats are also presented.

Meanwhile, Nio ET9 will have two electric motors, the front in the form of an asynchronous motor induction with a power of 180 kW, and the back in the form of a permanent magnetic synchronous motor with a power of 340 kW, the joint output reaches 679 cellphones.
