BMW Wants To Patent New Speed Features For Future Electric Sports Cars

JAKARTA - The famous BMW manufacturer is developing its latest innovation technology, namely the 'Push-to-Pass' upgrade mode which is specially designed for electric sports cars.

Quoted from the ArenaEV page, November 5, with this cutting-edge technology BMW wants to redefine the experience of driving electric vehicles, with incredible high torques and certainly an advantage over other brands.

This innovation is a simple concept but can spur the adrenaline of each user. Where a button will be inserted that will add to a high torque spike. The idea aims to make electric cars not only about efficiency and sustainability, but also have sudden high speeds.

According to a patent filing on the website of the World Intellectual Property Rights Organization (WIPO), the system works by allowing drivers to trigger a boost mode, which then causes car control units to speed up driving torques.

This increase is so fast that it is not considered a gradual increase but as a real acceleration, offering a thrilling experience for its passengers.

This burst of power is similar to the turbo found in several high-performance combustion engine cars, but is tailored to the unique ability of electric motors.

To further enhance the driving sensation, BMW will also integrate the special soundscapes that accompany torque improvement, adding a hearing dimension to the experience.

This technology is not just an imaginary concept and will also be applied to several models of future electric vehicles from BMW.
