JAKARTA - Daihatsu opened a recall campaign for the All New Ayla 1.0L model in Indonesia. The start of the Special Service Campaign (SSC) program was because the manufacturer wanted to carry out inspections and adjustments to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) section.

The manufacturer opened the recall program and also wanted to ensure that engine performance was maintained properly, for the sake of safety and customer comfort while driving the car.

"We invite customers whose vehicles are included in this program list to come to the nearest Daihatsu official workshop, with the work taking less than 1 hour, and free of charge," said Sri Agung Handayani, as Marketing Director and Corporate Planning and Communication Director of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), in his statement, Thursday, September 14.

The company said the vehicles affected by the recall program amounted to 3,383 units, which were produced from February 28 to May 23, 2023.

The Japanese manufacturer took the initiative to contact the affected vehicle owners. Customers can also check and confirm for themselves whether the vehicle is included in the program via ssc. Daihatsu.co.id or can contact Daihatsu Access 1-500-898.

Customers are also asked to do booking service first by adjusting the specified time before bringing the car to the repair shop for inspection.

This is not the first time Daihatsu has opened a recall program this year. Previously, ADM opened the campaign for the All New Xenia and Rocky models last July with a total of 1,210 units affected.

It is known that the two models passed the recall program because the Airbag ECU components had to be examined and repaired in order to function properly and improve security.
