Successfully Creating A MURI Record, Indonesia Jimny Festival Next Year Promised To Be More Magnificent

BOGOR - The record of the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) was successfully created at the Sentul International Circuit, Bogor, West Java, Sunday, June 18, during the 2023 Jimny Festival (IJF 2023).

Starting when 465 Jimny Generation 1 cars to generation 4 of 12 provinces were released by Bambang Soesatyo, Subronto Laras, and Ronny Kusuma, Chairman of the Indonesian Organizer Jimny Festival 2023 (IJF 2023) immediately rushed into the Sentul Circuit to undergo an assessment and verification procession in an effort to create a MURI Record, even Sentul International Circuit President Director Didi Hardianto took part in driving Jimny with IJF participants in the Track as many as 3 rounds.

Previously, 15 Jimny cars with racing specifications, first tested the race track as an exhibition of 3 rounds, then continued with hundreds of Jimny trying out the Sentul Circuit track that built the 90s era.

Even in hot weather conditions, IJF participants looked happy to pass through the Racing Circuit because it was the first time in a life experience to drive a Jimny into the Sentul International Circuit.

In front of the IJF participants, MURI conveyed the results of its decision that the Track Day activity carried out by 465 Jimny cars succeeded in creating a new MURI Record, especially in the Indonesian automotive world. Awards were given to the 2023 Jimny Festival, to Sentul as a supporter of the Event Location and to the Indonesian News Media Link as the IJF 2023 Organizer.

The IJF 2023 Grand Event managed to record Indonesia's automotive history, namely creating a MURI Track Day Record for one type car and one of the most brands at Sentul International Circuit, Bogor, June 18, 2023. The IJF 2023 event is part of Offroad Activities with Founders in the context of Tribute to Syamsir Alam and Askar Kartiwa supported by Sentul International Circuit management.

When witnessing the implementation of the procession to create a MURI Record, Bambang Soesatyo and Subronto Laras were amazed at the implementation of the IJF because they managed to collect more than 500 Jimny owners within 1 month.

"I recalled Jimny Jangkrik's car when I was young," said Bambang Soesatyo, Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly as well as Chairman of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI).

Meanwhile, Subronto Laras was amazed to see Jimny SJ10 in the 70s with engine 2 not in a very good restoration condition, he was even invited to try around the IJF location.

Ronny Kusuma, Chairman of the IJF2023 Organizers at the closing, expressed his emotion and gratitude to all members of the committee, IJF 2023 participants, to the IOF Founder and Sentul International Circuit who had supported the IJF until the dream of Jimny car owners was realized so that they could try the Sentul Circuit race track and create a MURI Record with Jimny.

"God willing, in 2024, the IJF will be held with more participants, more lively and continue to support the Jimny ecosystem," said Ronny Kusuma optimistically.

On the same day in the parking lot of the Sentul Circuit Tribune, the IOF Founder carried out an activity to commemorate the establishment of the IOF and services of 2 offroad figures Syamsir Alam and Askar Kartiwa for their contribution.

Present at the event were former IOF chairman Harry Irawadi, Major General TNI Mar (Ret.) Djoko Pramono, former IOF Chairman, Police General Roesmanhadi, IOF Founder, Senior and National Offroaders, and Alm Syamsir Alam and Askar Kartiwa families.
