JAKARTA - The Indonesian esports national team number Mobile Legends: Bang Bang putri managed to defend the 2025 IESF World Esports Championship (WEC) title after securing a convincing victory over Cambodia in the Grand Final round in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Saturday, December 6, evening.

This success extends the achievements of the women's MLBB national team, which is part of the Vitality Team after winning the 2024 Riyadh WEC IESF title, the 2024 Asian Esports Games, to the 2025 Esports World Cup.

"MLBB Women's won all these titles with very long training and preparation, both from club coaches and coaching from the Indonesian Esports National Team," said head coach of the Indonesian esports national team Richard Permana in a written statement received in Jakarta.

The team, which was strengthened by Cindy Laurent Siswanto, Michelle Denise Siswanto, Venny Lim, Viorelle Valencia Chen, and Vivi Indrawaty, managed to beat Cambodia with a 3-0 clean sweep.

The victory also became the perfect closing of the dominant journey of Indonesian Srikandi Esports at the World Esports Championships, with a win-rate of 100 percent without losing a single game.

The women's MLBB national team started their move at the 2025 WEC IESF with two convincing 2-0 wins over Turkey, and 2-0 over Uzbekistan in the group stage. They then beat Cambodia 2-0 in the semifinal upper bracket playoffs.

Vivian et al extended their clean record in the upper bracket finals by beating Egypt 2-0 to make it smooth to the final round of the Grand Final.

"They showed great work ethic throughout the series of matches. They also displayed a will power victory, and for them, a record is a skill," said Richard.

"We believe this team is a very difficult dream team to get in the next few moments."

Meanwhile, the men's MLBB national team also continued their positive trend with convincing performance in Group C.

After ensuring an important victory over Kazakhstan, Romania and Peru, as well as Nepal in the quarter-finals, the women's MLBB national team is now preparing to face Malaysia in the semifinals scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 7.

The momentum of victory is a strong capital for the Red and White squad to penetrate the top party and add Indonesia's achievements in this year's global event.

"The players are in the best condition and show significant developments throughout the tournament," said Richard.

"We respect the strength of Malaysia as the host, but we come with full focus, discipline, and determination. The spirit of the players is very high, and we are ready to give our best for Indonesia."

The men's MLBB national team was strengthened by Aldhia Fahmi Aranda, Christian Widy Wardhana Hartono, Leonardo Prasetyo Agung, Wiseman Hamonangan, and Yonathan Cin.
