Requirements For Lando Norris Can Win The 2025 F1 World Champion In Qatar

JAKARTA Lando Norris remains a favorite to win the 2025 F1 (Formula 1) world title even though he was recently disqualified from the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix last weekend.

The results of the McLaren driver did not count with his colleague Oscar Piastri because their vehicle skid block had a thickness below the minimum set limit after the FIA conducted an investigation.

During the race in Las Vegas, Norris finished second behind Max Verstappen and Piastri finished fourth. However, violating technical regulations made both points automatically charred.

Prior to his disqualification, Norris had a 30-point advantage over his teammate Piastri and was 42 points ahead of Max Verstappen. However, now he is only 24 points ahead of Verstappen, who is now on his points collection the same as Piastri.

However, Norris is still the favorite in this year's world title race with two series remaining. Overall, there are still 58 points up for grabs by the three drivers above.

Mathematically, Norris has a chance to seal the world title this weekend at the Qatar 2025 F1 Grand Prix. However, he needs to widen his lead to 26 points over Verstappen when he leaves Qatar.

The remaining points won by the three riders above consisted of two Grand Prix and one Sprint Race left only in Qatar. So, efforts to widen the distance and lock the title is not impossible for Norris.

However, he also needs to be careful because Verstappen is in an impressive performance. The owner of the four-time world title has won two of the last four races.

The next race of the Qatar Grand Prix at the Lusail International Circuit will take place on November 30, 2025, while in Abu Dhabi, precisely at the Yas Marina Circuit, will be held on December 7, 2025.
