Veda Ega Has The Opportunity To Get Moto3 2026 Tickets

JAKARTA Indonesia's young racer, Veda Ega Pratama, is most likely to get a prize from Dorna Sports to appear in the Moto3 event in the 2026 competition season.

Veda got the chance to compete in the class after he managed to become runner-up in the Red Bull Rookies Cup this season, behind Brian Rightrte who took first place.

Chairman of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI), Moreno Soeprapto, said that he would try to make sure directly to Dorna.

"Veda in the second standings (position), he got a gift from Dorna to enter Moto3. Indeed, this is a program from MotoGP, entering the Honda team," said Moreno.

Completing the season in the top three, Veda should have received a promotion ticket. However, the problem is that the rider who was born in Gunung Kidul is currently 16 years old.

This age does not meet the requirements for entering the Moto3 class. Currently, to be able to race there, a rider must be 18 years old.

Moreno said that he would try to confirm directly with Dorna when MotoGP held the 2025 Indonesian MotoGP race at the Mandalika Circuit.

"I will talk to Dorna in Mandalika. I will confirm that. IMI as a federation, to make sure. Later I will make sure (Veda appears in Moto3)," said Moreno.

According to several reports, currently the name Veda Ega is being monitored by the Gresini Racing team, a team currently reinforced by Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer.

Moreno said that Veda's work in Moto3 would still depend on the team's readiness and adaptation of the rider in the face of competition.

"We don't know yet because the official test hasn't been running. Now he's still participating in several series of Honda championships."
