JAKARTA - West Ham United wasted a chance to get close to the top four of the Premier League table after failing to win a game in the 36th week.

David Moyes's side are just one point clear of Brighton &Hove Albion in a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium on Sunday 16 May.

As a result West Ham did not move from sixth in the standings with a collection of 59 points, having been overtaken by Liverpool (60) two days earlier.

Not only has west Ham failed to get close to the top four, west Ham are also now threatened by Tottenham Hotspur and Everton who are just three points below them.

Tottenham will host Wolverhampton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday night and ryan Mason's side are certainly still looking to keep their hopes of a Champions League ticket hunt alive.

West Ham are also in danger of being left out of the game by Liverpool, who will travel to The Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion later tonight.

For Liverpool victory is a must if they are to strengthen their position in the hunt for a Tuesday and Wednesday night appearance next season, rather than being involved in Friday night's league.

It was not an easy task for Liverpool, given that in the first meeting juergen Klopp's side struggled against Sam Allardyce's men and only drew.

Despite failing to avoid relegation, Allardyce certainly wants to achieve a personal record as the second manager to go through six games without a win against Liverpool after Tony Pulis.

Liverpool's city rivals Everton will also go to great lengths to capitalise on sheffield United's caretaker team at Goodison Park on Monday morning to keep them in Europe next season.

Everton are still eighth with a collection of 56 points and can mathematically break into the top four by just eight points.

Sunday night's 36th match of the week will open with a crystal palace vs Aston Villa encounter.

11th-placed Villa still have a slim chance of breaking into the European qualifying zone, more precisely for the Conference Playoff playoffs, which are just seven points above them.
