Jamu Persebaya At GBLA, Persib Urges Bonek Not To Come Directly

Persib asked Persebaya supporters not to attend the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (Instagram/@persib).

JAKARTA - Week five of the 2025/2026 Super League will be continued with the Persib Bandung match hosting Persebaya Surabaya at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA) on Friday, September 12, 2025.

For that match, PT Persib Bandung's Vice President of Operations Dignity, Andang Ruhiat, appealed to Persebaya supporters not to attend GBLA directly.

This was conveyed in relation to the Liga 1 2025/2026 regulation Article 5 paragraph 7 concerning Security and Comfort and Article 141 of the PSSI Disciplinary Code in 2023 which prohibited the presence of the guest team supporters at the stadium.

"We ask for the understanding and cooperation of Persebaya supporters not to attend the GBLA Stadium as regulated in official regulations," said Andang as quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 11, 2025.

According to Andang, the regulation is not just an appeal, but also has real consequences. This is because the PSSI Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) can impose strict sanctions in the form of financial fines that have the potential to harm clubs and support groups.

He added that the Persib organizing committee together with the security forces had also prepared anticipatory steps, including repatriating the visitors' supporters who forced them to attend the stadium.

"This step is not to limit the fans' love for their team, but also to ensure the safety and comfort of all parties, including families and children who come to the stadium," he said.

Andang hopes that with mutual discipline and respect for the rules, big matches such as Persib and Persebaya can take place in a safe and sporting atmosphere.

"Let's support Persib in the best possible way, be present in the stands with enthusiasm, without flares, fireworks, alcoholic beverages, sharp weapons, or racist nuanced songs," he said.

He added that the GBLA Stadium is a symbol of the pride of Bobotoh which must be maintained together.

"GBLA is our common home, a place of passion and togetherness, Bobotoh is united to maintain Persib's good name in the eyes of national football," he said.
