JAKARTA Putri Kusuma Wardani has officially moved up to seventh in the world to become the number one women's singles in Indonesia to replace her senior Gregoria Mariska Tunjung.
The International Badminton Federation (BWF) officially released its latest ranking on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Putri also went up two positions to lead Gregoria who went down one ladder, right behind her junior.
The 23-year-old badminton player has his place now after reaching the semifinals at the 2025 BWF World Championships (BWF World Championships 2025) in Paris, France.
This achievement made Putri entitled to bring home a bronze medal, denying the drought of the Indonesian women's singles medal since Lindaweni Fanetri won bronze in the 2015 edition at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.
