This Is The Reason Canelo Alvarez Is Called Terence Crawford's Greatest Challenge

JAKARTA The main factor determining the greatness of a boxer is when he is able to beat all elements that make him unseeded. This is the situation that Terence Crawford is currently facing, who will challenge Saul Canelo Alvarez at the Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, September 13.

For Crawford, there is no more grand stage to prove his greatness than against Canelo. And to achieve that 'greatest' status, Crawford must be desperate to advance to two classes to face Canelo.

The Canelo vs Crawford match is a race for the WBC, IBF, and WBO versions of the super middleweight (76 kg). Whereas Crawford is currently entrenched in the junior middleweight (69 kg), and has the status of an interim champion of the WBO version.

Crawford started his career from the lightweight (61 kg) and managed to become world champion. Then he moved up to the junior welterweight (63 kg), and again managed to become world champion.

Not satisfied, Crawford returned to welterweight (66 kg). Again he managed to become world champion in the new class. Until finally Crawford played his last game, against Madrimov in the junior middleweight.

It's just that he went up straight to two new classes this time with Crawford, so he did face a very tough challenge. Moreover, he immediately faced one of the best boxers in the world, Canelo Alvarez.

Crawford is currently 37 years old, with a record unbeaten 41-0-0 (31 KOs). While Canelo is 35 years old, with a record match of 63-2-2 (39 KOs).
